description
The present invention relates to a releasable coupling device for use on a side wall of a tipper vehicle.
It is known from the prior art to provide sunk coupling jaws in recesses in side walls, in particular end walls, of tipper vehicles, which are connection points for fastening objects to be transported on the loading area of the vehicle, in particular trailers and the like, during operation of the industrial truck . Such coupling jaws sunk into drop sides, however, require increased installation space, especially since the recess or pocket to be provided for this in the corresponding drop side forms an overhang to the outside on the opposite side of the coupling jaw, which also makes the production of such a drop side complex and therefore expensive. Another disadvantage of the previous solution is that a dirt pocket is formed on the inside of the corresponding drop side, which can lead to increased maintenance costs and undesirable corrosion at this point. Furthermore, coupling mouths sunk into drop sides of this type must already be provided during the production of the corresponding industrial truck and can therefore only be retrofitted with great effort or not at all.
It is accordingly the object of the present invention to provide a coupling device for use on a side wall of a tipper vehicle, which eliminates the above disadvantages of solutions known from the prior art and at the same time is inexpensive, easy to retrofit and flexible in its application profile.
For this purpose, the releasable coupling device according to the invention comprises a main body with a connecting recess which is formed such that a lashing eye assigned to the side wall can be inserted into it, a locking unit which is designed to connect the main body and the lashing eye in one Connection recess introduced state thereof to be releasably locked in a locked state, and a coupling portion associated with the main body, which is designed to form an interface for coupling an external component.
By in this way the detachable coupling device according to the invention the already existing on the side walls and especially the front walls of numerous types of tipper vehicles lashing eyes are used as connection points for the coupling device, an easily retrofittable and flexible solution for the problems described above is formed is also inexpensive to manufacture and can be easily dismantled and stowed away when it is not required. At the same time, there is no need to provide a pocket in the corresponding side wall, so that additional installation space is gained on the outside of this wall, which can be used to provide other components. Finally, the need to offer different variants of drop sides in a series of tipper vehicles is reduced, since the special variant with a coupling jaw according to the prior art described above is no longer necessary and the standard variant with at least one lashing eye can be used together with the coupling device according to the invention .
In an advantageous development, the coupling device according to the invention can furthermore comprise a contact section on its main body, which is designed to lie flat against the ship's side in the locked state of the coupling device. In this way it is prevented that the coupling device has play in its locked state, which on the one hand ensures its attachment to the ship's side and on the other hand prevents premature wear and tear and undesirable noises.
Furthermore, in the coupling device according to the invention, the locking unit can be designed as a locking bolt and the base body can have corresponding recesses for passing the locking bolt through it and through the lashing eye for locking the coupling device. Alternatively, however, other types of interlocking are also possible.
Management units conceivable, for example a screw connection or a pivotable lever, which each interact in a suitable manner with the lashing eye introduced into the connection recess and can ensure the locking of the coupling device on the lashing eye and thus the side wall. However, the above-mentioned locking bolt is characterized by its extremely simple use and its reliable operation.
Furthermore, the coupling section can also be designed as a coupling bolt and the base body can have at least one corresponding recess for passing the coupling bolt through it. This structural measure achieves a modular structure of the coupling device and coupling bolts of different dimensions can optionally be used without a major redesign of the device being necessary.
Alternatively, however, the coupling section could of course also be designed as part of the main body itself and have essentially any shape and size that is suitable for coupling an external component. Here, the coupling device can for example comprise a spherical section, as is known in particular from trailer hitches in motor vehicles, wherein in the above-mentioned example of a coupling bolt this can have a substantially spherical end section at one of its ends.
The main body of the coupling device according to the invention can in turn have at least two substantially parallel to one another and spaced apart flat extension sections, which extend in the locked state of the coupling device substantially perpendicularly from the side wall. In this way, with a relatively low cost of material, a stiff and resistant construction of the main body is ensured, which allows only little torsion when transverse forces act on the coupling section.
In order to further prevent the lateral penetration of dirt in the area of the lashing eye in the locked state of the coupling device and also to create additional contact surfaces of the device on the side wall, the main body can comprise two panel sections, which are on both sides in the locked state of the coupling device the locking unit from the side wall perpendicular to this or obliquely forward and towards each other.
Here, the panel sections can also be designed to taper away from the ship's side in their upper area in relation to the locked state in order to still have good accessibility to the locking unit and the coupling section with an enlarged contact surface and further improved protection of the device against the introduction of dirt to allow.
While various materials and manufacturing methods are conceivable for the coupling device according to the invention, however, in a particularly simple, inexpensive and robust embodiment, the main body can be at least partially designed as a welded assembly and consequently made of a metallic material such as steel.
According to a second aspect, the present invention relates to a system formed from a releasable coupling device according to the invention and a tipper vehicle, the tipper vehicle having at least one lashing eye on the inside of at least one of its side walls, in particular the end wall.
This lashing eye can also preferably be folded in a recess in the side wall and can be opened out of it, wherein the lashing eye can be preloaded by an elastic element in the direction of the folded state in the recess.
Further features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description of an embodiment when this is taken together with the accompanying
Figures is considered. These show in detail:
1A shows a releasable coupling device according to the invention in a dismantled state;
[0018] FIG. 1B shows the coupling device from FIG. 1A in a locked state, obliquely from the front;
[0019] FIG. 1C shows the coupling device from FIGS. 1A and 1B in a locked state in a view obliquely from the rear; and
2 shows a side wall of a tipper vehicle with the coupling device from FIGS. 1A to 1C locked thereon.
In Fig. 1A an embodiment of a releasable coupling device according to the invention is initially shown in a dismantled state, it can be seen that the coupling device 10 in addition to a main body 12, a locking unit 14 in the form of a locking bolt and a coupling portion 16 in the form of a Coupling bolt includes.
The main body 12 in turn comprises, in addition to a central section 122, two substantially parallel and spaced-apart flat extension sections 124 and 126 and two diaphragm sections 128 and 130, which extend obliquely forward and towards each other on both sides of the central section 122 and in are designed to taper their upper area. Furthermore, the main body 12 comprises two pairs of recesses 132 and 134, into which the locking bolt 14 and the coupling bolt 16 can each be inserted in order to form the mounted and locked state of the coupling device 10 shown in FIGS. 1B and 1C.
It can be seen in particular in Fig. 1C that a further flat element 136 is arranged in the area of the central section 122 of the main body 12 below the upper flat extension section 126, with between the upper flat extension section 126 and the further flat element 136 a pocket 138 is formed into which a lashing eye can be inserted, whereby in this state a locked state of the coupling device 10 is achieved by inserting the locking bolt 14 through the pair of recesses 132 and a corresponding recess in the further flat element 136, in which a contact section 12a formed by the corresponding end sections of the flat elements 124, 126 and 136 as well as the panel sections 130 and 132 can rest on a side wall of a tipper vehicle.
An example of this locked state is shown in Fig. 2, which, in addition to the coupling device 10, also shows such a side wall 100 of a tipper vehicle, not shown further. This side wall 100 can in particular form the front wall of the tipper vehicle, it being seen that a total of six lashing eyes 102a to 102f are provided in the respective recesses 104a to 104f so that they can be folded out at the corresponding positions, the coupling device 10 locking on the central lashing eye 102c in the illustration shown and at this point forms an interface for coupling an external component, with the two panel sections 128 and 130 preventing dirt from entering the area of the lashing eye 102c and the recess 104c from the side.
Furthermore, it can be seen in the figures that the locking bolt 14 is provided in its upper region with a grip section 142, which enables the locking bolt 14 to be easily pulled out of the recesses 132. It can also be seen that the coupling bolt 16 comprises a substantially spherical section 162 and a collar 164 at its upper end, the spherical section 162 in the manner of a trailer coupling in a motor vehicle being able to serve as a coupling point for a corresponding counter-element of the external component to be coupled , while the collar portion 164 serves to securely position the coupling pin 16 in the pair of recesses 134.
In addition to the spherical section 162, the central section 166 of the coupling bolt between the two flat extension sections 124 and 126 can also serve as a coupling point, for example by wrapping a rope around the coupling bolt at this point.
Finally, it can be seen in the figures that both the locking bolt 14 and the coupling bolt 16 have respective openings 144 and 168 at their lower ends, through which corresponding locking pins can be passed to the two bolts 16 and 16 in to secure the assembled and locked state of the coupling device against the main body 12 and to prevent slipping out therefrom.
